This TLR camera, the “blackbird, fly” from Superheadz was first brought to my attention by TJ.
The BFF, as it is now marketed, is a twin-lens reflex camera that shoots square images on 135 film rather than 120 film, which will make for cheaper developing costs. This is great also because I can imagine it is also getting tougher to find a photo finishing lab that handles 120 film development.
At 12,600¥, this is one gadget that is going to be difficult to resist. I’ll be trekking down to the Camera Cabaret Grand Shop to check this out. I’ve read elsewhere that at its soft launch, other limited edition colours were available but of course were snapped up quickly. Blue is my favourite of these 3 pictured here, otherwise I’ll definitely go for yellow if it was still available.
